Jill Promises not to Woop at the "South Coast Comedian of the Year" 2017 Final...

"South Coast Comedian of the Year 2015" Winner Joe Foster

I'm sending out heartfelt and oh so proud congratulations to my stand-up comedy course at Komedia Brighton graduate the fast rising Martin Wratten on getting into the Final of the "South Coast Comedian of the Year" 2017. Ex-ice cream van man Martin is just starting to move up and away from the new act night circuit and into playing professional comedy clubs now. It's all very exciting!

Martin is joined in the "South Coast Comedian of the Year" Final by Konstantin Kisin. Konstantin started his stand-up journey on my one week summer holiday comedy course at Komedia Brighton in 2014. Konstantin's first ever gig was in Komedia's Studio Bar in our end of course stand-up comedy show "Tea, Cake & Comedy." My MC for that show was one of my Comic Boom comedy club MC's and Komedia Brighton comedy course graduates who was just on the cusp of breaking through in the comedy business at that time - Romesh Ranganathan!

I'm so excited to see if Martin Wratten or Konstantin Kisin will follow in the footsteps of my stand-up comedy course graduates who've previously won the "South Coast Comedian of the Year." Joe Foster won in 2015. Roz Ryan was runner-up in 2014 and Mike Cox won that year.

Playing a part in and watching my stand-up comedy course graduates develop, progress and break into the comedy business is one of my greatest joys. If Martin or Konstantin win on June 22nd I'll try not to woop loudly enough to be heard in London! I promise to try not to...
