Jill Edwards has been working professionally in the comedy business all her adult life. She brings her passion for comedy and her ongoing practical insider knowledge and experience of the comedy industry across the board over 25 sucessful years to all areas of her work.
Jill was a comedy industry expert panellist for Chortle's Comedy Conference at Soho Theatre, and for the International Comedy Conference at The Pleasance, London. Jill has also Chaired a panel for the Comedy International Conference.
During her years as an established, successful, stand-up comedian – and as one half of the female duo PEP TALK - Jill toured nationwide, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. PEP TALK appeared regularly on the London and national comedy circuit at all the major venues, as well as in radio, television and film. They were regular comedy voices on Radio One's "Steve Wright in the Afternoon."
Jill wrote the comedy material and shows for PEP TALK. She also became a professional writer when her first feature film script was sold in a bidding war to Heyday Films (producers of the HARRY POTTER film series). She has been comissioned to write scripts for various companies, including Working Title Television, Bentley Productions and World Pictures. Her writing agent is Jean Kitson at MBA Literary Agency.
She has published various features on all aspects of her comedy work, including getting the humour right in wedding speeches and short comedy features for Men’s Health Magazine.
