I had a great time with these absolute legends on my one week comedy course summer holiday at Brighton's Komedia. They were such a happy, laid back and funny group they just made my job easy. They're also now all friends for life!
These lovely people spent their days with me learning everything they needed to know to get them started in stand-up comedy. In the evenings they were out and about on Brighton's thriving comedy club scene with my fabulous Social Secretary Debs. They had a lot of fun!
One of the things I enjoy most about my one week comedy course is that it attrracts interesting people of all ages from all walks of life and from all over the World. I had the usual brilliantly eclectic mix of participants, representing the usual wide range of regions and countries, from Hayling Island and Wales to New York, Berlin and Thailand. It's also a great opportunity for me to use and to continue to expand my knowledge of the growing European and International comedy club scenes. Exciting!
The finale of my intensive stand-up comedy course week is my one week stand-up course participants performing their own short stand-up comedy sets in our Sunday afternoon "Tea, Cake & Comedy" show in Komedia Brighton's intimate Studio. It's always a really special show with free tea and cake for all and the atmosphere is just unbeatable. It was great to see so many familiar faces from previous "Tea, Cake & Comedy" shows in the audience again this year. And my Komedia Brighton comedy course graduate Aidan Goatley was the perfect MC.
I was so proud of all my one week comedy course participants in "Tea, Cake & Comedy" 2019. They were a talented and exciting group and their show was something I would have genuinely happily paid money to watch. Our delightful big happy audience loved it too!
This was a great one week comedy course summer holiday with a truly glorious group full of absolute characters and legends. I can't wait to see who turns up from where next year and to do it all over again...
