Three Jill Edwards Comedy Course Graduates Return to Where it all Began...

Five years ago our award winning comedian and television regular ("Stand Up for the Week") Angela Barnes (left) was a fledgling newbie comedian on my Spring Stand-Up Comedy Course taking to the stage for the very first time ever in my May "New Act Night" at Komedia, Brighton. Last night Angela returned to where it all started for her and my May New Act Night but this time she was my MC!

Angela was utterly brilliant, as were all my latest fledgling newbie comics and the huge (272!) audience were wonderful. It was a real pleasure watching Angela having so much fun. She made the night even more special by spoiling our fledglings with good luck cards, champagne in the dressing-room (after the show!) and a homemade cake decorated with her top comedy tips. It was a lot of fun and hell yes it was emotional!

I'm wondering if one of my lovely Spring Stand-Up Comedy Course at Komedia fledgling comedians will return to MC the show where it all started for them in five years time.

My fast rising stand-up comedy course Brighton graduate award winning television regular Romesh Ranganathan MC'd "Tea, Cake & Comedy" featuring my One Week Summer Holiday Comedy Course fledglings last year. He then got nominated for several prestigious awards, won two of them and appeared on "Live at the Apollo." But he's back to MC "Tea, Cake & Comedy" again on Sat July 19th at Komedia, Brighton. Romesh took over as the new host of "Newsjack" in Feb' so all that hosting "Brighton Nights" for Juice FM paid dividends!

The fantastic Seann Walsh was a fledgling comedian fresh off my stand-up comedy course at Komedia Brighton when I first set-up my comedy club Comic Boom at Komedia. Seann worked his way up the ranks until he became my resident MC at Comic Boom and he played a big part in putting it on the Brighton comedy map. Seann Walsh is back at Comic Boom on Thurs May 29th to help us celebrate Komedia Brighton's 20th Birthday but it's highly unlikely that the lovely Seann will manage to make us a cake!
